Raised in central Illinois, Doug developed a strong work ethic at an early age through engagement in sports and assisting his father with the family apiary. Any available leisure time was spent fishing and hunting in the local creek bottoms, ultimately fostering a profound passion for everything related to the outdoors.
Following his college years, Doug embarked on a journey that would span 35 years, establishing a successful career as a water resource manager with the US Geological Survey (USGS). In this capacity, Doug assumed responsibility for overseeing hydrologic monitoring endeavors encompassing streams and rivers across central and southwest Idaho, northern Nevada, and eastern Oregon. One of the most notable accomplishments during Doug’s tenure with the USGS was the cultivation of fruitful collaborative relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Upon concluding his federal service, Doug was selected by Whitetail Properties Real Estate to serve as a land specialist, catering to the needs of buyers and sellers in south central Idaho. In this role, Doug relishes the opportunity to foster new connections with clients who share a mutual affinity for the outdoors and a deep appreciation for the land. Through these professional associations, Doug finds himself fortunate to facilitate the realization of other's aspirations in land acquisition or sales.
