Rustin was raised in Western Oklahoma farming, ranching, and hunting on family-owned land. He graduated High School from Laverne and then college from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with an Animal Science degree in Agriculture. During his high school and college years, Rustin worked for Mt. Hide Outfitters guiding deer and turkey hunts across four states.
In addition to his passion for hunting, Rustin manages a cow/calf ranching operation. Between his personal and family-owned land, this operation consists of raising Red Angus and Red Baldy replacement heifers to be sold as bred heifers to cattle producers in the area. Carrying on the legacy of raising cattle on the same lands that his family has for generations is one of his greatest aspirations.
Rustin and his wife, Chelsey, live the small town life in Western Oklahoma where they can be with their families. Any spare time not selling land, hunting, taking care of cattle, Chelsey’s chickens, or their three dogs, are enjoyed by improving their ranch, traveling or spending time with family. The way of life and being surrounded by the people they care about has planted their roots there as home.
As a land expert and real estate professional, Rustin began his career at Whitetail Properties immediately after graduating from college in 2015. He introduced and established the brand in Southwest Oklahoma. He has since joined forces with long-time friend and colleague Steve Purviance to provide the best land buying and selling experiences across Western Oklahoma.
They are the original Land Specialists of Western Oklahoma with more farms, ranches, and hunting properties sold than any of their competitors. Helping people create the experiences that Rustin grew up with on their family’s ranch is one of the greatest reasons he takes so much pride in what he does. Knowing that selling or buying land can be one of the most difficult decisions someone might face, he is confident in making it the best it can be.
