The fishing and boating on Weiss Lake are very popular and ideal for family fun. Weiss Lake is over 30,000 +/- AC of public lake, and with all its coves and tributaries running into the lake, makes for an excellent fishery, dubbed "The Crappie Capitol of the World". It is common to see numerous species of waterfowl, and deer, and we even saw 2 bald eagles while shooting photography. The access is best to take a boat in from the Hwy 9 boat launch between Centre and Cedar Bluff or just a short boat ride from Little River Marina to the north of the island.
