Description
This secluded tract offers some of the best whitetail habitat you can ask for. It sits along the Embarras River and has easement access off East 1600th Ave. The access is a dirt lane that runs between two agricultural fields and enters the property on its west side. As you make your way onto the property you will notice large mature timber to the North and a younger tree planting in front and to the south. The planting is a diverse mixture of both soft and hardwoods with several oaks starting to take off. There is currently a cornfield boarding the property’s south side, making a great food source for the deer and turkeys. Several open areas around the property could potentially be turned into food plots, with the proper paperwork and compatibility use agreements, approved by the NRCS office. There are also two different locations where the Embarras River cut through and along the property. The river offers a great travel corridor and water source for the wildlife. The two areas along the river that have mature timber offer great roosting sites for turkeys as well. This property is all enrolled in the WRP program, so there are no annual payments or income. If you are looking for a secluded property with the ultimate habitat, as well as river access, this is the one for you. Please respect the adjacent landowners and do not visit the property if the lane is wet or muddy. Call Adam Crumrin, Land Specialist today to schedule a showing.
