This area is located in the Central Flyway and is well-known for ducks; the tract lies only 1½ miles downstream from the Copan Lake Dam, 200yds from the Little Caney River, and ¾ mile from the Caney River. The property is highlighted by a unique warm-water slough, situated on the western half of the property(nearly 10 acres in size). The main channel has numerous necks and fingers that branch-off. These are loaded with Smartweed and Sedge along the banks, a natural food source for waterfowl.
