The hay produced at the Broken Fence is primarily sold to high-end horse breeders/owners and is also used as feed for several champion rodeo horses. This is the hay fed to some of the best equine athletes in the world. If you have been around horses enough, you know the importance of good clean, soft, and leafy hay. The current owners of the Broken Fence have made great efforts to keep their products to the highest quality standards by utilizing Staheli West steamers, covered hay barns, and keeping the soil healthy so that less fertilizer and pest control products are needed. You can rest assured the products from this farm are top-notch and will deliver the nutrients needed to keep your high-performance horses at their best.
Improvements to the farm include a 3400-square-foot 5 bedroom 3.5+ bathroom home which was built in 2018. Newer enclosed hay barns are placed strategically to facilitate easy loading and shipping of the hay and are sized at roughly 25,000 & 10,000 square feet. A 2,700-square-foot heated shop and 3,600 square feet of covered parking are located close to the main home, along with multiple outbuildings. The pivots and water systems have all been recently updated and a feedlot for over 100 cow-calf pairs with a 3,000 square-foot 3-sided shed and animal drinkers are already in place. All the pieces of equipment to run the farm efficiently and effectively are also included, with the vast majority of them being newer and extremely well-maintained including trailers and trucks to ship the hay wherever needed. Multiple underground water rights are included in the sale, along with nearly 1506.99 irrigation shares, resulting in the ability to water approximately 28 days each month during the season.
