Description
A gorgeous, comfortable cabin and over 650 feet of riverfront on the famous Brule River is now available. This beautiful cabin sits on a hill overlooking the river that beckons you to fish it every time you look at it. The water is full of trout; browns, brooks and rainbows, and their size will amaze you. Take a walk upstream a few hundred yards and bring back dinner in just a short amount of time. The cabin is powered by a generator but also has gas lights. The stove and refrigerator run on gas also. When you enter the cabin, you will immediately focus your attention on the wood-burning stove, with a glass front, and the comfort of the living area attached to the kitchen and dining. The open yard gives you a complete view of the river from the windows facing north. A deck wraps around the north and east side of the cabin and makes a great location to sit outside to listen to the river and what nature has to offer. The property is located at the end of a dead-end road behind a gate. Getting to the cabin is half the fun. From Pentoga, MI, you cross the Brule River at the Pentoga Bridge and then head west and north 1 mile to the gate. Beyond the gate, it is only 3/4 mile to the cabin on a private road that is only used by other cabin owners along the river. Inside the sauna is a sand-point well and a shower. A very nice outside toilet is currently used. However, it would not be hard to add a septic system and construct a complete bath for the cabin. Storage is provided by a small shed near the cabin. This land is attached to National Forest on its entire west border and the land across the river is part of a large piece of land owned by the State of Michigan. Hunt out your back door and head west for miles without having to ask anyone for permission. When you study the map provided you will immediately feel like you found the perfect property with National Forest lands so vast that you could never see or experience it all in a lifetime. ATVing and snowmobiling is big in this area. With hundreds of miles of National Forest roads available right at your back door, you can ride for days without seeing the same roads twice. Hunt for deer, bear, turkeys, grouse, woodcock, ducks and geese right at your property. This property is very comfortable. The cabin is clean, well-designed, and well-appointed; the kitchen is comfortable, and the living room is cozy. A queen bed and 4 bunks take care of sleeping arrangements and a LP wall-heater takes the chill out of the air until the wood burning stove heats the cabin. This property is special, be sure to give some special attention. Though the pictures tell the entire story, be sure to contact Terry Patrick, the listing agent, for the most accurate description of this property. Make the first trip, and you will be going back for decades to see and experience the Brule and what it offers time after time. Call today.
