But just like every industry, continued learning and education is paramount. That’s why we’ve partnered with the experts at the Realtors® Land Institute (RLI).

A Win-Win Partnership

Through this exciting new partnership, our agents and brokers will have access to an unparalleled land real estate education program, the REALTORS® Land Institute’s Land University (LANDU). The program offers the best educational courses and webinars on the market, designed to hone in on the professional specializations an expert land agent needs to best serve their clients.

Our goal in partnering with them? To arm our agents with more skills and tools in order to be more effective for our clients. A few examples of the regional issues the program tackles are:

• In what ways do soil types affect land use?
• How does a ranch sale differ from a cropland sale?
• Where are the best resources for land information?
• How do land specialists use aerial photography and mapping and location systems?
• How does the USDA work with landowners?
• What are the impacts of water rights and related government regulations?

Building an Army of Agents With Even More Knowledge and Skills

LANDU provides options for every style of learning, including face-to-face courses, online and independent study courses, web seminars and combinations of all of the above if you choose. The flexibility of these learning methods allow busy agents to select what’s relevant to their area of the land business and complete credits while they’re working.

By partnering with RLI, our agents will have access to discounts on the courses and fees associated with earning RLI’s Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) Designation – a key requirement for Whitetail agents looking to earn their WPCLS (Whitetail Properties Certified Land Specialist) Designation. Whitetail Properties will be hosting a newly updated version of RLI’s Transitional Land Real Estate LANDU course for all of our agents in August of this year. The course will apply to the required credits necessary for earning the elite ALC Designation.
