Whitetail Properties Real Estate has built its leadership in the rural land market due in large part to its team of over 350 highly knowledgeable Land Specialists across the country — each of whom are dedicated to providing the highest level of knowledge and client service.
It’s no surprise, then, that the company dominated the Realtors Land Institute (RLI) APEX Awards presented at its 2024 National Land Conference hosted recently in Louisville, Kentucky.
“We’re proud of the achievements of our winners, and more than that, it shows how we as a company prioritize knowledge, education, and setting expectations to provide the highest level of service to our clients,” said Alex Gyllstrom, Whitetail Properties marketing director. “Awards and recognition are great, but the real excitement is how this speaks to the world-class experience our clients are consistently getting across the country.”
The proof is in the numbers. Recognition for Whitetail Properties included:
- Two awards for national 2023 Recreational Land Sales Broker of the Year – Kansas agents Adam Hann and Mitch Keeley. This duo evenly split their team sales to be counted as individuals and they still both took the top awards in the category. They were also recognized as RLI Top 20 National Producers regardless of category, land type, or region.
- Eight of the 38 RLI Regional Brokers of the Year for 2023, the most winners by far from a single brokerage.
- Forty-nine of the 247 APEX Producers Club members, the largest award category, which recognizes agents with at least $5 million of qualifying land sales last year. The next closest brokerage had 18 winners.
Winning Land Specialists said they were honored by the recognition. “RLI represents brokers from across the country, so these awards are incredibly meaningful,” said Katie Graeb, based in eastern South Dakota, who won APEX Producers Club and Regional Broker of the Year awards. “Being recognized for having the highest amount of ranch sales in my region is a true honor.”
Others shared similar sentiments. “Being a part of the APEX Producers Club again this year is an immense honor and validation of the hard work, dedication, and expertise I’ve poured into my career in land real estate,” said Jerrod Meyer, who serves southeast Colorado. “It signifies recognition from peers and industry experts for my sales production and commitment to delivering top-notch service to my clients.”
Award recipients said the large number of wins also demonstrates the value that Whitetail Properties provides for its clients. “It shows our company is going in the right direction with our values and belief system that puts clients first,” said Brian Utecht, who is based in southwest Missouri and received Regional Broker of the Year and APEX Producers Club awards. “To see the number of our awards across the country is also a game changer that will help us continue to attract and retain high-quality Land Specialists.”
Twenty-two Whitetail Properties Land Specialists attended the RLI conference, which they found to be highly beneficial. “Our company values our involvement for professional development and encourages us to attend,” Graeb noted. “The conference enables RLI members to stay abreast of changes in our industry, to network with colleagues and learn what is happening in real estate across the country.”
“It’s a very well-run, world-class event in terms of its educational value and relationship-building opportunities,” added Utecht.
Meyer said the event “provides a platform to connect with fellow land professionals, industry leaders and experts, fostering collaboration and sharing of best practices.”
Accredited Land Consultants
Of the 86 new Accredited Land Consultants (ALCs) added by RLI in 2023, 15 were Whitetail Properties Land Specialists. That was by far the most by a single brokerage and further extends the company’s trend as the brokerage with the most ALCs in the nation.
Land Specialist Tracie Hicks, who serves east-central North Carolina, was among the company’s agents who received the prestigious designation. “It really helps us stand out from other real estate brokers,” she said. “The required education alone covers every aspect of selling land and helps us serve our clients to our fullest ability, whether that’s enabling a seller to get top dollar for their property or helping a buyer own a property of their dreams.”
Whitetail Properties' Comprehensive Training Program Fuels Land Specialists' Success
The success of Whitetail Properties Land Specialists reflects the quality of the company’s training program, which is designed to help them get up to speed quickly with resources they can use throughout their career. It includes proactive educational information and options to help them make good decisions about how to operate successfully.
That training program, combined with Whitetail Properties’ marketing expertise in bringing together buyers and sellers of rural property, will help support the company’s future success — and continued industry recognition for its Land Specialists.
