Barb joined Whitetail Properties in 2021. Prior to her career in real estate, Barb worked as Vice President of Deposit at Farmers State Bank. Her career in the financial industry spanned over two decades, where she gained experience and know-how in the tangible skills that allow for success in the finance business, while she also refined her abilities as a leader and teammate — those intangibles that allow a person to bring out the best in those around them.
At Whitetail Properties, Barb is focused on the people, processes, development and training that support the internal Whitetail Properties staff. Her professional expertise ranges from business management, project management, strategic planning and finance to her proven ability to effectively foster organizational growth. Equally important is Barb’s ability to recognize that each of these must collectively create a foundation to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
Barb says what drew her to Whitetail Properties is its prevailing culture. The rural real estate company is fast-paced and forward-thinking in nature. It’s also paradoxal. It’s at once both aggressive on growth and expansion, while remaining committed to nurturing its small-town, personable approach to business.
Barb has deep roots in Pike County, Illinois, where she was born and raised and has no intention of leaving. This commitment to her own sense of place was essentially locked in when she married a local farmer. She and her husband Richard are avid fans of the St. Louis Cardinals. They enjoy riding the rural roads of Pike County in their jeep, tending to their livestock and traveling. Barb and Richard are the proud parents of two adult sons, Mason and Reid.
