Jeff Evans is the CEO and a managing broker at Whitetail Properties.
He joined Whitetail Properties at its inception in 2007. Before his career in real estate, Jeff worked inside his family's business while also working in the outdoor industry as owner of a whitetail-outfitting business. After graduating from college, he returned to where he was raised to start his own farming operation. He currently farms over 1,200 acres of corn and soybeans, and shares ownership in his family’s beef and pork production operations.
At Whitetail Properties, Jeff trains, mentors and supports the internal Whitetail Properties sales staff and the national team of more than 300 land specialists representing 38 states. His expertise in the rural real estate market and professional experiences as an investor in rural real estate are the hallmarks of his success with Whitetail Properties.
As a landowner and hunter, Jeff has purchased, developed and improved hunting properties throughout the Midwest using land management practices such as adding row crop acres, developing food plots, managing selective timber harvests, adding blinds and improving land access by creating internal roads. Each improvement was a complement to the other, making the properties more desirable and conducive for a recreational buyer.
Jeff’s clients are assured of his expertise and continued refinement of land knowledge through a number of accreditations including QDMA Deer Steward Level 1 and QDMA Deer Steward Level 2. He’s also an Accredited Land Consultant and Whitetail Properties Certified Land Specialist.
Born and raised in Pike County, Illinois, Jeff has served in the Illinois Air National Guard and graduated from US Air Force basic military training as an honor graduate. Jeff, who has owned properties in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Oklahoma, continues to work and farm in his home state. He and his wife Heather are parents to Grady and Norah. Jeff loves being able to offer his family a rural lifestyle in the heart of the Midwest. Every day he gets to introduce his children to the same things he loves and has been blessed to experience throughout his own childhood.
