As a newcomer to purchasing land, I had plenty of questions to ask.  And even though John Kreilich was working for the seller, he made himself readily available to answer any questions I had about not only the properties I was interested in, but also the process.  We found a great piece of property that suited our needs nicely and John helped make the whole process run very smoothly.  He has even offered his assistance regarding our questions about improving the fish and wildlife habitat on our new property.

We thoroughly enjoyed our farm purchasing experience with Derek.  It is a unique opportunity to look at properties with an individual who is so knowledgeable on whitetail hunting, deer management, and the local deer herd.  So often, farm realtors know farming but not the depth and type of information important to someone passionate about trophy whitetails.  It was both useful and enjoyable to exchange ideas about QDM type farm development and hunting strategy with Derek.  Derek’s knowledge, however, did not end with the deer aspect of the purchase.  He was very keen to all the facets of our farm purchase and kept us informed during the process.  Furthermore, his ‘no-pressure’ approach to closing the deal was very much appreciated.  In short, a person will be glad of their decision to use Derek Grimsrud in purchasing their dream Midwest property.

I was in search of a piece of property I could hunt on and just get away to enjoy the outdoors in late November of 2012. After speaking to a few realtors on some properties, I spoke to Luke at Whitetail Properties, and I was very impressed with his knowledge. He’s the type of person who once you talk to him, you would think you’ve known him your whole life.

Luke showed me properties from Shawano County down to Adams County and everywhere in between. We walked through deep snow (he even let me use his snow shoes), rain, wind and cold. He rearranged his schedule when I was only able to search on certain days. My wife and I decided to put in an offer and we were able to reach a deal. We had many hurdles to overcome, and without Luke’s help there’s no way this deal would have ever been finished. He went above and beyond anything I ever expected of him. I can’t thank him enough for all the effort he put into making this deal happen.
